DESIGN----This is a schlenk flask comprised of a round bottom flask with an only opening at top assessed by a high vacuum valve to exchange the atmosphere of the tube to flush the tube with an inert gas.There is a tubing on side-arm used to attach a schlenk line(vacuum gas distributor line) via a vacuum tubing to get the vacuum or inert gas.The round bottom can be heated directly evenly by an open flame or a heating mantle.

USE---The schlenk flask with high vacuum valve is usually used as a storage flask or reaction flask in air-sensitive chemistry with high sealing performance.The high vacuum valve at top is not only used to control the liquid or gas flow,but also can be d off to add or transfer materials.For a reaction setup, this flask is used to conduct reactions at elevated pressures and temperatures as a closed system.
