The centrifuge 5424 is a 24-place microcentrifuge for 1.5/2.0 mL tubes. The 5424 can reach a maximum rcf of 20,238 x g/14,680 rpm. Two versions are available: a rotary knob model (1236D77) for quick and easy parameter adjustments, and a smooth keypad model (1236D79) for quick cleanups. Some versions include the FA-45-24-11 Fixed-Angle Rotor. Design allows safe centrifugation of hazardous materials. High speed motors generate g-force sufficient for a variety of molecular applications including DNA, RNA and protein separation and isolation. The centrifuge 5424 can be equipped with up to four different rotors: an aerosol-tight standard 24-place rotor, a 4 x 8 tube PCR strip rotor (max. rcf: 18,615 x g), a specially designed KIT rotor for processing spin columns, and a special coated rotor for ultimate chemical resistance.
