About Thomas - 4127 ABS Plastic Traceable Refrigerator

The Thomas Memory Monitoring Refrigerator and Freezer Thermometer is a digital thermometer used for monitoring the temperatures in freezers, refrigerators, incubators, water baths, and heating blocks. The thermometer measures temperature from -50 to 70 degrees C (-58 to 158 degrees F, with an accuracy of + or -1 degree C. The 1 inch by 2.5 inch bottle probe is filled with a nontoxic glycol solution that is generally recognized to be safe around food. The bottle and glycol solution insulate the sensor from sudden temperature changes. The probe is attached with a 10 ft. micro cable, which can be shut in a refrigerator door without creating a gap. The thermometer memory stores minimum/maximum values and has a temperature alarm that can be programmed to indicate audibly and visually when the temperature exceeds a maximum or minimum value. The alarm will continue to sound even when the temperature returns to the set range, until it is turned off. This thermometer is traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology, indicating that it is calibrated to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025 levels. The Thomas Memory Monitor Thermometer is used in food storage, scientific laboratories, and other industries that require temperature monitoring. Digital thermometers are instruments used to measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors. Thermistors are made out of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and in doctors' offices and hospitals. Thomas Scientific manufactures lab supplies, equipment, chemicals, and instruments for scientific research. It is a registered contractor for the United States Federal Government. The company was founded in 1899 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. What’s in the Box?
