About Aiphone AX-DM Audio-Only Door Station For AX Series

The Aiphone AX-DM surface-mount audio-only door station works with an Aiphone AX Series master station and central exchange unit (sold separately) to enable remote communication with visitors prior to authorizing access to the building. The station mounts in a standard 2" aluminum door mullion and has a black ABS plastic housing that is rated for outdoors. Housing dimensions are 6-5/16 x 1-11/16 x 7/8 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) Cat-5e wiring should be used to connect the door station to the master station at a maximum of 980 ft. Door intercom systems allow an occupant of a building to communicate remotely with a visitor through at least one door intercom and master intercom. Master intercoms with a door-access button remotely unlock the door for the visitor. Aiphone manufactures intercom systems for residential, business, and healthcare structures.
