Dimensions: 1/4 inch x 5 yards Quantity: 1 package total per carton The non-impregnated packing strip is made of tightly woven gauze and is ideal for absorbing wound drainage. This high quality packing strip promotes natural healing and is ideal for absorbing blood and other body fluids. They are highly absorbent and work well on oozing wounds. Sterile wound dressings like this product are ideal for a primary dressing. This means that the sterile dressing can be in direct contact with the wound. It can be soaked with a medication of choice and requires a secondary dressing to hold it in place and protect it from external contaminants. This long strip is very useful in wound packaging as a small tail can be left outside the wound to facilitate removal of the packaging. This sterile wound dressing is very effective for open and/or infected wounds. Sterile wound care dressings decrease the risk of wound contamination. This decreased risk also helps prevent infection.
