About The Foot Strength Plan: Healthy Feet, The Truth

Product Description Healthy, strong feet. That’s the goal of this book. Why? Perhaps you’re achy and sore at the end of a work day, standing on concrete. Or maybe you want your feet to feel better during or after exercise. Our feet connect us to every step we take. Why not make your connection to the ground stronger, improve your balance and gain back control over each step. This book offers a step by step guide (and some humor) to get your feet working for you. Injuries of all kinds, like plantar fasciitis, bunions, metatarsalgia, and more can benefit from health, strong feet. When you move better, you’ll feel better.Dr. Colin Dombroski, PhD has helped tens of thousands of people back to their feet since 2002. As Canada’s only Canadian-certified pedorthist with a PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Science, Dr. Dombroski runs SoleScience (www.solescience.ca), where he and his team provide custom treatment solutions that include, strength and mobility, foot orthoses, footwear and pedorthic services to everyone from olympic athletes to people who just want to walk again, pain free.In 2014, Business London named him one of the top twenty under forty. Review 'The Foot Strength Plan' is a definite must-read for people who want to improve their mobility or strengthen their feet. It has certainly helped me in my quest to relieve the pain, fatigue and inflammation in my foot from an old injury. Not only does the book explain how the muscles of the foot work, but it also identifies how to single out individual muscles to work on. I especially like the simple, step-by-step, progressive nature of the exercises, something that has allowed me to see small gains in a relatively short time. This has encouraged me to persevere toward the more challenging exercises. As a result, the book has become an invaluable resource [that I can go back to time and time again]. Grace Bell Retired Teacher "We can no longer look to orthotics as a panacea for lower limb pain and gait issues. Dombroski explains in easy to understand terms how we can improve our strength and mobility which will reduce injuries and keep people moving!" Maclean Graydon, MSc Canadian Certified Pedorthist "As a collegiate level athlete performing a high impact sport - pole vault - general physical health can be challenging to maintain.  Though I have a high arch, I was fortune to retain good foot health until a significant injury to my big toe joint in my third year of competing.  The result was devastating to my performance and after several trips to a physician, it was suggested that I see someone that specializes in foot mechanics for rehab.  I was beyond fortunate that the referral went to Dr. Dombroski who evaluated my specific problem and suggested custom made foot orthotics to correct some mechanical/structural changes that resulted from my injury.  The process was professional, specific and most importantly, successful - I was able to continue my sport through the rest of my University career.  At a recent visit to Dr. Dombroski's clinics, I inquired about options to supplement the orthotics with exercises and I was given an advanced copy of this book.  After starting just a few of the exercises mentioned, the changes to not only my foot health but also my hip and back have been nothing short of profound.  In my specific case, the exercises have allowed me to forgo the need for orthotics entirely, improved my performance in the gym for exercises like deadlifts and in general, sincerely changed my life.  This book fills a rehabilitation gap that has been present for far too long and proves, at least to me, that foot health can dictate general health in remarkable ways.  I sincerely feel that this book can benefit anyone and everyone, regardless of whether you are struggling w
