The DataGauss LG is an automatic hard drive and backup tape degausser which comes with the Data Destruction Auditor software solution and USB connector cable enabling operators to document and verify erasure of media. With its powerful 9000 Gauss force, the DataGauss LG can erase hard disks and backup tapes quickly within 45 seconds. The DataGauss LG is self-calibrating and provides the operator with guaranteed erasure time after time. Media can be inserted by releasing the catch and lifting the lid where hard drives or backup tapes are placed in the unit's chamber. Once the lid is closed the operator simply presses the “erase” button on the unit’s control panel and follows the progress of the magnetic erasure through their Data Destruction Auditor dashboard. Compatible with Windows based PCs, the Data Destruction Auditor will monitor the entire process of the data erasure/sanitization. The user can then create and export full reports of erasure for data compliance purposes.
