How to Use the Vanity Planet Cue 1” Clip-Free Tapered Curling Wand Use the Vanity Planet Cue 1” Clip-Free Tapered Curling Wand only on hair that is completely dry. Place on a flat, heat-safe surface and switch on. While you’re waiting for it to heat up, brush out any tangles. Put the heat-safe glove on your non-dominant hand (example: if you’re right-handed, it should go on your left hand). With your gloved hand, wrap a 1- to 2-inch section of hair around the barrel from the thickest to the thinnest part with the rod pointing down. Smaller sections will create a tighter curl, larger sections will create softer waves/more body. Hold hair on the barrel with your gloved hand for at least 10 seconds – the longer you hold the hair on the barrel, the tighter the curl will be. Allow hair to gently unravel from around the wand. For a beachy, mermaid look, comb through with fingers while the curl is still warm and move on to the next section. Repeat on the rest of your hair.
