About One More Bullet

"One of the most important American ska bands ever." -- PUNKNEWS "The Toasters' sound is aggressively working class, built on the big horns and brawny rhythms of the first ska revival. They sing of fighting and drinking and bad jobs and the limited prospects that the early ska bands--most recording on the Two-Tone label--also made their bread and butter." -- POPMATTERS "Jumping and running around on stage, these guys got the crowd sweating and dancing up a storm. Nobody could resist the third wave ska pioneers' set. Everyone watched in amazement as these guys showed everyone how it was done." -- IN MUSIC WE TRUST Ska is definitely back and there is no better proponent than icons of the scene The Toasters! The band has carved out its own niche in history, amassing a humongous catalog of music including fifteen albums and DVDs; countless videos, singles, and EPs; and innumerable compilation appearances. Consummate outsiders, the group has turned down major record deals from the likes of Danny Goldberg and Polygram, instead opting to run down their own indie track. The band has logged a staggering 4,000 concert appearances on stages around the world. In 1997, Billboard's lead article dubbed them "New York's Ska Pioneers." With their eclectic, instantly recognizable and idiosyncratic sound, the group has also been branded the "Miles Davis of Ska" and the "Ramones of Ska." One More Bullet was recorded in Valencia, Spain at RPM Studios by renowned producer Cubo, and engineered by the great Roger Garcia. Featuring eleven huge tracks of trademark Toasters ska, the album also features guest appearances from Greg Robinson (Mephiskapheles), Bufford O'Sullivan (Slackers, Easy Star Allstars), Claude Robillard (Daze of Dawn) and various yet-to-be-identified members of Los Skarnales. Hard-hitting, catchy as hell, and upbeat, One More Bullet is proof positive that America's longest running ska band can kick out the jams like no other.
