This book provides a brief description of terminology and parts utilized for over the air TV reception and then provide simple, but effective techniques in installing an antenna with the objective of providing sufficient information to assist an individual in successfully installing a reliable and safe TV antenna system. The book will contain some detail technical information, but the majority of the content will be focused on providing information to successfully select, install, distribute, and troubleshoot a TV antenna system for the above average do it yourselfer or professional TV antenna installer who wants additional reference material. The book was written by a person with over 20 years of practical, professional experience in RF communication systems that has firsthand appreciation in the laws of physics and the limitations the laws of physics provide. No deriving of Maxwell’s equations or other gory math details is provided in this document. There are numerous resources available for lower level technical detail. This book will provide sufficient, high level information for the consumer to have an appreciation on the reception limitations of a TV antenna system for a specific installation environment relative to TV broadcasting stations.The book provides professional installation techniques for roof mounts, wall mounts, and attic mounts. The book doesn't provide guidance on guy wire masts and towers due to there are many additional safety issues and material science knowledge needed to ensure no damge to home/building and ensure personal safety and is not recommended as an average do it yourself project.The book includes numerous pictures and detailed diagrams to help the installer to further appreciate a TV antenna system. Also, the book provides very detail descriptions of protecting against indirect lightning strike damage and provides proper grounding and bonding guidance to help reduce the effects caused
