About Eli And The Tiger
Earthquake, typhoon, strange death-laws among the jungle beasts - these are some of the pieces of the puzzle that have Eli and his friend running and fighting across a jungle continent to find some sanctuary - someplace where they can survive, and live their own way. Eli is an elephant, and the tiger's name is Tim. They grow up together on an island separated from the rest of the jungle. They do not learn that elephants and tigers must hate each other, or that beasts who do not conform to jungle laws must be hunted down and killed. In fact, they learn the opposite: that elephants and tigers can learn much from each other, that two breeds are better than one, that true friendship is the most important thing of all. When the two friends, now fully grown, come back to the jungle and its laws, there is mayhem on all sides. The jungle requires death for two beasts who are so different. But these two friends are terribly difficult to kill. Their hopeless flight continues, until from within the evil system of the jungle itself, hope returns. It is the story of two friends, of the price they must pay to stay true to themselves, and of the power that comes from their love for each other.
