DEMONSTRATE ENERGY CONVERSION || The thermal absorption and radiation apparatus offers a unique way to demonstrate the conversion of radiant energy to thermal energy. The apparatus allows for the comparison of thermal absorption and thermal radiation rates.
PRODUCT DIMENSIONS || Base dimensions: 10in x 7 in x 1 in. Height (to tip of domes): 6.5 in
WHAT'S IN THE BOX || Contains a radiation comparator apparatus, white screen, and experiment guide. An electric bulb and heat source are attached to the apparatus.
HOW IT WORKS || The apparatus allows two thermometers to be placed in the ports behind the reflectors. The temperature of the reflectors can be easily measured at any time interval. The light bulb is centered between the two reflectors so that both receive the same amount of radiant energy at the same distance.
SAFETY & HANDLING || The light bulb will become hot during the demonstration DO NOT TOUCH the bulb until it has cooled. The port for the thermometers is metallic. Insert the thermometers carefully so that they do not break.
Contains radiation comparator apparatus, white screen, and experiment guide; electric bulb heat source attached Base dimensions: 10in x 7 in x 1 in Height (to tip of domes): 6.5 in 2 domes - one black and one shiny metal Thermometer holders present on both domes The heat absorption radiation comparator, with heat source and differently coated domes attached, is ideal for comparing the heat absorption and radiation between shiny and dull items. The thermometer attachments on each dome make it easy to use and obtain data. The experiment guide included is a great aid for learning about how to use the apparatus and is very user-friendly.
