Epoxy body for impact resistance and durability
Spring-loaded to produce higher flow of electrolyte
Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC)-connected combination reference and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide a tight coaxial cable connection
The Oakton WD-35802-30 is a Nitrate (NO3-), epoxy-body, polymer membrane sensor, ion-selective electrode (ISE), with a single junction for general-purpose applications. It is commonly used for surface/drinking water, sewage effluent, soil extracts, fertilizers, soils, plant tissue, meat potatoes, spinach, beets, and baby food. It has an epoxy body for impact resistance and durability. It is spring-loaded to produce a higher flow of electrolyte, and works with viscous fluids. The electrode houses a BNC-connected combination reference cell and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide a tight coaxial cable connection. This electrode is refillable, has a temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F), and a pH range of 2.5 to 11. Its measuring range is 1.0 to 7E-6 M and 62,000 to 0.5 ppm. Interfering ions include CIO4-, I-, CN-, and BF4-. The electrode has a typical response time of 20 to 30 seconds, varying with solution concentration. It is used with the Ion 510, pH 2500 Ion Benchtop, or Ion Acorn meters. It can also be used with any ion meter, or with any meter with a 0.1 mV resolution. The electrode comes with a 3-foot cable, replacement membrane, 15-mL of electrolyte, and a filling pipette. Use with a calibration standard (sold separately). ISEs respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions, and are commonly used for water-testing, and to analyze biological samples in hydroponics, aquaculture, and agriculture. Oakton Instruments manufactures an array of scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. Since 1991, Oakton has distributed a wide variety of instruments such as meters, electrodes, and transmitters. Oakton is based in Vernon Hills, IL, and has facilities in Europe, Asia, and China.
