About Hanna Instruments HI96745 Low Range Total Hardness

Chlorine and pH are two of the most closely monitored parameters in water quality tests. Hardness is also an important parameter, attentively regulated to reduce waste or ensure proper functioning of equipment. Iron can cause an unpleasant taste or stain kitchenware or laundry. The HI96745 is a powerful instrument to keep all these parameters under control. The reagents are in liquid or powder form and are supplied in bottles or in packets. The cuvette has a very important role because it is an optical element and thus requires particular attention. It is important that both the measurement and calibration (zeroing) cuvettes, are optically identical to provide the same measuring conditions. HI96745 is supplied with 2 sample cuvettes with caps, battery and instructions. 6.5 to 8.5 pH, 0.00 to 5.00 milligrams per liter (ppm) chlorine, 0.00 to 4.70 milligrams per liter (ppm) total hardness and 0 to 1.60 milligrams per liter (ppm) iron LR range. 0.1 pH, 0.01 milligrams per liter under 3.50 milligrams per liter; 0.10 milligrams per liter above 3.50 milligrams per liter chlorine, 0.01 milligrams per liter total hardness and 0.01 milligrams per liter iron LR resolution. +/-0.1 pH, +/-0.03 milligrams per liter +/-3 percent of reading chlorine and +/-0.11 milligrams per liter +/-5 percent of reading total hardness and +/-0.01 milligrams per liter +/-8 percent of reading iron LR at 25 degree C accuracy. Tungsten lamp. Silicon photocell with narrow band interference filter at 525nm light detector. Auto-off: after ten minutes of non-use in measurement mode, after one hour of non-use in calibration mode with last reading reminder. 0 to 50 degree C (32 to 122 degree F); RH maximum 95 percent non-condensing environment. Measures 7.6" length by 4.1" width by 2.7" height. Phenol red method for pH, adaptation of the USEPA method 330.5 and standard method 4500-Cl G for chlorine, adaptation of the Standard Methods for the examination of Water and Wastewater.
