About 1927 Baseball Program New York Yankees Vs St. Louis

This is an unbelievable, extremely rare, vintage 1927 program for a game played between the Yankees and the St. Louis Browns. The 1927 Yankees were arguably the best baseball team ever assembled. The fearsome Murderer's Row lineup not only featured Ruth and Gehrig, but also Tony Lazzeri and Earl Combs. What makes this piece of true baseball history even more scarce is that Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig hit back to back home runs for the Yankees in the first inning. Upon doing a little research, this game was played on June 16, 1927. The Yankees won the game 8 to 1. Ruth hit his 22nd HR of the season and Gehrig followed up with his 15th. You may never come across a program such as this in your lifetime. It is a must have for any Yankees vintage collector. This piece of memorabilia is worthy of a spot in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. As for condition, there is heavy toning, the pages are loose and are held in place by a single piece of tape. There is fraying at the corners and a horizontal tear on one of the interior (non scorecard) pages.
