About ZaZaTool Microphone Repair Kit Replacement
This 600 ohm cartridge will work on all Whelen 295 series sirens and most other manufactures that use a dynamic microphone. Includes cartridge with 6" leads and 2 b splices. Most bad microphones on sirens are either bad PTT switch (5%) or bad microphone cartridge or element (95%). This kit allows you to replace the cartridge easily. Remove the three screws from back of mic. Open and remove old cartridge in center. Cut wires at cartridge. Splice new cartridge wires on and crimp white butt splices by flattening with regular pliers. You're done, takes less than 5 minutes. Note: Will not work with Whelen Cencom or any other condenser powered microphones.
