About Da Vinci Gilding Series 750 Double Quill Gilder
Gilder Mops are used to dust skewings from oil gilded surfaces. Black goat hair mops are firm enough to tamp & dust any type of metal leaf except genuine gold leaf, where Squirrel hair, Series 710, should be used. Oval Shaped mops are suited for ornate or shaped surfaces while square mops are best for a flat surface. (See da Vinci Series 750sq). da Vinci makes square and oval versions of Black Goat & Squirrel Gilder Mops. Made in Germany.
