About Handover French Polish Mops Acetate Quill
Originally designed for the beginning application of French Polish, a blend of soft squirrel with stronger more supple hair allows the mop to load up a good amount of polish (shellac) without collapsing from the weight. The qualities of this hair/squirrel blend give these mops marvelous control of mica powders for flash gilding, as well as for use in tamping and the removal of gold and metal leaf skewings. They are beautifully constructed with a copper wired, acetate quill (important in wet work) or with an economical metal ferrule (only for dry work). Picture is for illustration only!
