Add a versatile motion detector to monitor any sized indoor area with the Optex FLX-S-ST Indoor PIR Detector. This indoor Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor is capable of monitoring indoor areas ranging from wide great rooms or office spaces to narrow hallways for human sized movement. As a part of Optex's FlipX series of security sensors, the FLX-S-ST Indoor PIR Detector uses unique pyroelectric element technology and adjustable lens design to offer optimized and highly accurate motion sensing security. By simply removing the case and flipping the lens 180Ëš, the sensor's detection pattern can be adjusted from 85-degree wide for covering large open spaces, to only 5-degree wide for covering long narrow passages or windows. The Wide coverage setting detects movement within an approximate 40ft W x 40ft L area, while the Narrow coverage setting detects movement within an approximate 6ft W x 60ft L area. The FLX-S-ST Indoor PIR Detector, along with other FlipX series sensors, are redesigned to better track humans moving through its detection area while ignoring animals passing through to minimize false alarms. This sensor and other FlipX Series sensors can easily be used in both residential and high-end commercial security applications. The FLX-S-ST Indoor PIR Detector is designed to mount to walls or vertical surfaces at least 6'7 ft to 9'8 ft (2.0 to 3.0 m) from the ground. The Wide coverage setting detects movement within an approximate 40ft W x 40ft L area, while the Narrow coverage setting detects movement within an approximate 6ft W x 60ft L area. The device is powered via wired connection to an Optex or third party security panel. Users can conveniently monitor and control the detector through their security system's interface.
