About Hanna Instruments HI981405N-01 LCD PH And EC

The Hanna Instruments HI 981405N-01 is a continuous measurement meter of pH and electro-conductivity (EC) for agricultural, horticultural, and hydroponics applications with manual calibration, two LCD screens, an interchangeable gel-filled pH electrode with Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector and waterproof sleeve, a fixed EC probe, a grounding bar, and a housing for wall mounting. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of a substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in laboratory, industrial, and food applications. The two single-line LCD screens continually show the pH and EC values. Front trimmers allow manual pH calibration at one or two points and EC calibration at one point. The meter has a flat back for wall mounting. The gel-filled pH electrode is replaceable and the BNC connector is protected with a waterproof sleeve. The electrode resists clogging in fertilizer solutions with high concentrations of nutrient, such as phosphate and nitrate. The meter has a fixed EC probe. A grounding bar with a 2m (6.6') cable ensures accurate pH readings and prolongs electrode life. The power supply is 115VAC. The meter also comes with calibration solutions, a calibration screwdriver, 12VDC adapter, and instructions. Specifications pH range 0.0 to 14.0 EC range 0.00 to 9.99mS/cm pH resolution 0.1 EC resolution 0.01mS/cm pH accuracy at 20 degrees C + or – 0.2 EC accuracy at 20 degrees C + or – 2 percent full scale (F.S.) Temperature range 5 to 50 degrees C (41 to 122 degrees F) (EC only) Operating temperature 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F) Operating relative humidity 95 percent Dimensions 165 x 110 x 35mm/6.5 x 4.3 x 1.3 inches (H x W x D) Weight 300g/10.6oz. H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter in aquaculture, agricultural, wine-making, and water-testing, and for scientific applications. Some pH meters may measure additional parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called electro-conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV. Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001. What's in the Box?
