With its attractive vintage style design and ability to capture open and pure sound the MXL V67i is a large, dual diaphragm version of the legendary V67G from MXL. Featuring a a two-sided diaphragm the the MXL V67i provides two mics in one with the ability to produce warm, opulent sound on one side and brighter, more airy sounds on the other. With its cardioid polar pattern the V67i is effective in minimizing noise and off-axis audio that can cause feedback and with the ability to handle high SPLs of up to 140dB at 0.5% and 150dB at 0.5% with 10dB pad engaged you get minimal distortion with maximam headroom when capturing excessive peaks. The V67i features a -10 dB pad and roll-off filter and a solid state preamp with balanced transformer output. It has a 6 and 8 micron gold-sputtered diaphragm, a large 32mm capsule and a frequency response of 30Hz-20kHz. All this is in its green with gold grill distinctive, vintage body so you get a microphone that has a design that is as appealing as the sound it can produce.
