About Wesco 240001 Deluxe Series Steel Drum Truck, Moldon

This Wesco 240001 drum truck with rear support wheels has a 1,000-lb. capacity and can be used for loading and unloading pallets with 30-gal. and 55-gal. steel drums. It has a 1" structural pipe frame and double-welded joints for strength. The truck has replaceable double-beveled nose prongs and a chime hook for securing drums. It measures 24 x 21 x 58 inches (W x D x H) overall. (W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back; H is height, the vertical distance from bottom to top.) The frame has two 10" moldon rubber load wheels in the front for maneuverability, two 6" moldon rubber rear wheels for support, and a kickstand for upright storage. This drum truck with rear support wheels is suitable for use in industrial and commercial material handling applications. Hand trucks, also known as two-wheeled dollies, are used to transport heavy or bulky items, especially in commercial product distribution and delivery. Hand trucks are L-shaped, with handles at the top, two wheels at the bottom, and a small platform that touches the ground when the truck is upright. A load is placed on the platform and the truck is tilted back, balancing the weight over the wheels. Powered hand trucks have a platform that lifts the load up, or lowers it down, to reduce human labor. Some hand trucks may be convertible to platform trucks for moving large or cumbersome loads. Others fold flat for storage. Wesco manufactures material handling equipment under the Wesco and Lexco brands. The company, founded in 1948, is headquartered in North Wales, PA.
