The ferrule fits into a 3mm thinner area of the brush end so the ferrule fits into the handle and is glued in this area to make it virtually impossible for the handle to get loose. The hair is specially prepared to be stiff yet soft to the touch. This makes the bristle less brittle and reduces the breaking of the hair while painting and the smoothness and precision of the stroke. The brush is made with two bundles of hair that are put together so the brush hairs interlock with each bundle having perfect inward curve to create a wonderful brush response.
