During the advent season, the tradition of the Jesse Tree is the perfect way to countdown the days until Christmas. This ornament set was designed to correspond with the readings from the book, The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones (please note, the book is not included). This holiday tradition is a wonderful way to engage and educate kids of all ages and it helps to keep Jesus at the center of the season.Our Jesse Tree ornament sets are to be used in the same way you would use a traditional Christmas advent calendar. There is an ornament for each day December 1st through Christmas Day. Each ornament symbol represents a story from the Bible. These stories help to walk you through the lineage of Jesus, starting with creation and ending with his birth. During the month of December, we are reminded of God's plan to give us the gift of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus his son.Included with this Jesse Tree set, you will receive 24 colorful, high-quality, double-sided wooden ornaments, twine for hanging them and a velour drawstring bag for storage. You will also receive a colorfully, illustrated pamphlet indicating which ornaments are to be hung each day, the Bible verses associated with each ornament and the chapter in the book, The Jesus Storybook Bible, that is to be read. If you do not have the book, you can simply use a Bible and follow the scriptures outlined in the pamphlet.Ornaments are approximately ¼" think and 2 3/8" in diameter. The front side features a colorful image made from high resolution photos of our felt ornaments. The images have been printed on vellum with a permanent adhesive backing. The back side indicates the day the ornament is to be hung, the associated Bible scriptures and book chapter to be read that day.The wooden display tree is sold separately in our store.
