The START International ZCM2500 electronic light-duty non-adhesive cutter with safety guard is suitable for cutting heat-shrink tubing, sleeving, and other materials, and can be programmed to automatically advance and cut material to a specific length. The dispenser accepts non-adhesive materials up to 2"/51 mm wide, with an outside roll diameter up to 7"/178 mm. Using the LED display, feed and cut can be set to automatically advance and cut the material. The safety guard detects the presence of foreign objects such as tools or fingers and prevents activation of the cutter. The photosensor detects if there is material at the outlet for accurate and consistent feeds and cuts. The feed and cut can also be operated manually with a push button. Preset lengths can be overridden for a custom cut, and then returned to the autofeed settings. The guillotined cut provides a straight edge to the material dispensed. Estimated blade life is 20,000 cuts, depending on the type of material. Cut length tolerance is + or – 0.04"/1 mm. The cutter has a steel frame for durability and a cabinet made from flame-retardant, anti-static composite. The ZCM2500 cutter operates on 117 VDC at 50/60 Hz.
