About Drowning In Addiction: Sink Or Swim: A Personal

Product Description Drowning in Addiction: Sink or Swim is a book about saving lives and giving hope to addicts and loved ones of addicts. We, the authors, believe this book is a lifeline for those affected by addiction to find their path to recovery. We believe recovery is possible, regardless of background or situation. It begins with a choice! To the addict/alcoholic reading this book, we love you and respect you. We get you, we see you. We know you. We have been you. We want to help you. We, the authors, have faith these stories will speak to you and inspire you to change and lead a better life. Your addiction is not shameful. Your addiction is the chapter of struggle in your book of life before your story turns into a success. To family and friends of addicts that will read this book, we want to bring awareness to the fact that you do not need to feel guilt or shame for your loved one’s challenges through addiction. The goal of this book and the stories within is to help you, the loved one of an addict or alcoholic, to realize your actions are not in vain; however, being present for your loved one may be the best course of action. Your loved one must make the decision to be the change for themselves. This book is about us, for others. From the Author It has been my greatest honor to co-author our book Drowning in Addiction: Sink or Swim!  To sum up what it was like to write this book, I would call it an emotional roller coaster ride.  There were days when we had feelings of elation and other days where we had a hard time writing through the tears - tears of harsh memories, tears of gratitude for how far we have come, and tears of honor knowing that our stories will impact many lives, be it the addict or the loved one! We are filled with so much gratitude for the support that we have received on this journey of writing this book and now the support and feedback of how this book has impacted so many people!  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support! A note we want to share:  We found a misprint on page 93 of the first few copies of the book, when Joni Mitchell is included in a list of celebrities who passed from drug and alcohol abuse.  We immediately corrected the mistake and the correct list will be printed on all future copies.  We sincerely apologize for the misprint! About the Author Scott Leeper is a Mindset Coach, speaker and author based out of Mishawaka, IN with his wife, Ashley, and son, Jaxson. In 2012, Scott made the decision to remove his father from life-support and watched him take his last breath, as a result of a life of alcohol abuse. After 13 years of service to his country, Scott was forced out of the Marine Corps, at which time he decided to serve others in a different manner. Today, Scott is an author, inspirational speaker, and Mindset Coach for executives, entrepreneurs and business owners that want to gain mental strength and clarity in their confidence, profession, and personal lives. He also is an inspirational speaker and author. Michael Arnold is a hurricane of happiness. She went through her own personal transformation with brutal alcohol addiction that was partnered with fear of judgment, acceptance, no self-love and identity loss. Michael captivates her clients with her own vulnerability by being raw and real about highs and lows of evolving and transforming in sobriety. Michael now lives a beautiful, healthy life in sobriety. Michael can truly say she now knows what it is like to feel alive, free, and to be unapologetically herself from the inside out. It is Michael's passion to inspire and support people to Make Shift Happen in peoples lives. Once Andrea Carr attained sobriety, she decided to become a sober coach. Andrea realized her own journey to sobriety would have been much easier if she had worked with a Sober Coach from the beginning. Andrea has been in recovery for over six years. In November of 2018, Andrea celebrated three year
