Over time the Brass Sleeve Nut on your filter tank will become worn down or stripped, and if the lid of your filter tank is not fastened securely to your filter the pressure can cause your lid to pop off, which can be damaging to both the filter and surrounding objects or equipment. Replacing the Brass Sleeve Nut on your filter will ensure that the lid is tightly secured onto the filter, which in turn can prevent leaks from the filter band. If the filter clamp's t-bolt is damaged or the threads have been jammed, it may be necessary to re-thread or clean the original bolt. The best way to do this is with a 5/16 24 NF Rethreading Die. Compatibile with Hayward Super-Star Clear, Micro-Clear, Swim-Clear, Pro-Grid DE.
