It is a rare privilege to be able to put together a comprehensive history of one's work as an artist. With thanks and gratitude to Calvary Chapel, and specifically Pastor Chuck Smith, the group LOVE SONG has been able to do just that some 40 years after they first played at the original Calvary Chapel. The discs in this set represent the sum and total of the music of one of Contemporary Christian Music's most influential bands. This set includes 4 CDs, 1 DVD, and a booklet that compiles historic photos, most of which have never been seen before. Also included is a historic text written by Stan Jantz in 1976 when his observations were "hot off the press" so to speak. It is a delight to re-visit The Book of Love, which so urgently depicts the fervor, innocence, and excitement of those times. This is not only LOVE SONG'S journey, but this is a piece of history depicting a time when the church as we knew it was changed forever by an explosion of God's love and power.
