Automatic features include auto tracking, auto repeat, and auto head cleaner. The VCR's ShowGuard backup memory keeps your timer/programming safe, even through power outages. If the power fails, timer recordings will be restored when the clock is reset. (The timer recording will not occur if it was scheduled to take place during the power failure.) Meanwhile, auto clock set with time-zone adjustment sets itself to the correct time from a user-approved channel carrying a time signal. Daylight-savings time adjustment automatically compensates for daylight savings time in early April and late October, so you don't have to reset the clock twice a year. When tape playback begins, auto tracking seeks the optimum video and audio tracking positions for the clearest picture and sound.
