About Playboy Club Bunny Profiles: 1962-1973

The Playboy Clubs that opened in major U.S. cities in the 1960s and 1970s were a product of the success of Playboy Magazine. The publication's founder, Hugh Hefner, entrusted his brother Keith with supervising the training of Playboy Bunnies. My e-book looks at the plight of Bunnies, i.e. those who succeeded and moved on to become stockbrokers, etc. One Bunny was particularly impressive. Originally from Houston, Liz Moorman toured with author Alex Haley, Playboy's chief interviewer in the mid 1960s. Others weren't as pleased in their tenure as Bunnies. A group of three New York Bunnies sued Playboy for age discrimination after being fired in 1973.
