Review "If you have a child with food allergies, you know how difficult it can for both you and your kids to navigate through daily life, much less special events. Colleen has created Aidan, a sweet and relatable character who learns that he can feel "super," just by eating the right foods. All adults and children, battling food allergies or not, will appreciate Colleen's clever take on eating well to feel well" (Gluten Free CT) --Gluten Free New England From the Author When my son was first diagnosed with special dietary needs, it was a relief. We finally had answers for his health issues. What I didn't realize at first was that, besides attending to his nutritional needs, I would also be guiding him through the acceptance of his diagnosis, and navigating having to eat differently than all his friends. I would also be teaching everyone around him to keep him safe and healthy too. I quickly realized this emotional support piece, and educating his peers and community, was just as important as what I was feeding him. And so,  Aidan the Wonder Kid was born! My sincere hope is that parents and teachers alike can use this book as a tool to teach kids that we all have our best super powers when we feed our bodies just right, and sometimes that's a little different than our friends, and that's okay! About the Author Colleen Brunetti grew up in the rolling green hills of Vermont, where she spent much of her time devouring books. That love of reading eventually led to a teaching degree, with a Masters in Literacy. Later in her career, she became a Certified Health Coach, and she began her work supporting families and educators, and freelance writing in the health arena, a combining of passions that led to this book. Today she spends her time with her husband chasing their two kids, and dreaming up her next publications.
