About Aquatic Arts 1 Juvenile White Specter | Live

The White Specter Crayfish is a beautifully glowing white variant of the Electric Blue Crayfish species (Procambarus alleni). It looks particularly striking against black gravel substrate, a black background, or under a purple aquarium light. Though most crayfish are often reclusive, this species is very active. They will eat most any meaty or plant-based foods, and they may also eat live plants. As it matures, this crayfish may become aggressive towards other animals in the tank. It is important to provide plenty of hiding places, such as PVC pipes. This is even more crucial when housing multiple crayfish in the same tank. Basic aquarium gear is required, especially an internal or external filter (e.g. a sun sun filter) and aquarium pump (e.g. a fusion air pump). Large crayfish may require a water conditioner and/or nitrate remover. This is a hardy animal, but regular water changing is vital to its optimal health. Other bottom-dwelling animals should be avoided. Crayfish will typically eat whatever they can catch, but since they are slow moving, they are not often able to harm fast-swimming fish (such as Danio fish, Molly fish, Platy fish, etc). This listing is for a juvenile crayfish, which is a younger and smaller variant of White Specter Crayfish at a discount price. This crayfish is a particularly fast grower and should grow into adult size and full color potential within 1 to 3 months. In the meantime, customers who choose to buy a juvenile specimen can save money and experience the excitement of watching their little crayfish grow!CARE GUIDELINES: Temperature: 65°- 76° F (18° - 24° C)- pH: 6.5 - 7.5- KH: 6 - 15 dKH- Minimum tank size: 30 gallons- Average adult size: 4 - 5 inches (10 - 12.7 cm) body length minus claws- Average purchase size: .5 to 1 inches
