About ASICS Men's Gel-Lyte Running Shoes, Black 9090, 10
A series beginning that would have created its own standard, the original GEL-Lyte was the basic model of a series of color blocks and reflective inserts on the forefoot for better visibility. Originally released in 1987, this model returns thirty years later. The addition of the name "Lyte" to the model name was due to the fact that it weighed less than a pound. The exceptional lightness of the shoe was further highlighted by the GEL unit in the heel, the Nyla-sheen synthetic fabric and the DURASKIN reinforcement. The shoe was equipped with an anti-rotation stability system for the movement control, while the triple density midsole and the blown rubber sole with rubber heel completed this creation for medium-high mileage.
