About Copper Tree And Stump Remover - DIY Tree Killing

This purchase includes 1 pack of 10 extra long, pure copper nails to be used in the killing and removal of trees and tree stumps. You won't find nails like these in a hardware store. Their SUPER LONG LENGTH and PURE COPPER composition make them hard to find, but also the perfect tree (and plant) killing device. Many people ask, does copper actually kill trees? If you've tried a 1 inch nail or a copper coated nail, you may not have found success. Copper does in fact contain a chemical which is harmful to plant life, but the amount of contact and the pureness of the metal are very important factors. That is why these nails are 3.5 inches long and made of pure copper for maximum effect. Instructions per tree size: Note: Copper is a soft metal. For harder wood, you may need to drill a pilot hole. Small (1-4 inch trunk diameter) - Hammer one nail fully into the base of the tree, several inches above ground. Medium (4-12 inch trunk diameter) - Hammer 3-5 nails fully into the base of the tree, about a foot above ground. Even placement around the circumference of the tree is ideal. Large (1+ foot diameter) - Hammer nails fully into the base of the trunk, about a foot above ground. 10 nails should be enough for most large trees. If large roots are exposed, you may also choose to hammer a nail into each root. Huge (you can't wrap your arms around it) - For the biggest trees, a special technique will help. Use a saw to cut a ring around the tree (as shown in the picture above). The ring should be a minimum of 2 inches in height and placed a couple of feet above ground. Remove the bark and hammer the nails fully into the exposed pulp. This should allow the nails to reach the heartwood. For very large trees, a minimum of 10 nails should be used. Time needed to reach desired results will depend on the species of tree, as well as the overall health of the tree. Very healthy trees will require more nails.
