About the Author Scott Sutton beaded his first loom piece when he was six years old, which was the beginning of a life-long passion. As a teenager he joined the California Indian Hobbyist Association, where he studied under great beading teachers, such as Jerry Smith and Corrine Fry. By the time he was 17, he had attended numerous powwows (singing and dancing) and had begun researching beadwork techniques in museums. He has completed over 100 craft projects, and his beaded moccasins are worn by numerous powwow dancers. He and his wife are members of the White Wolf Singers in their local community in Oregon.
