The AromaFuse uses ultrasonic vibrations that diffuse any oil added to the water into tiny microparticles, dispersing it into a fine mist. For a therapeutic effect on the body, mind, and spirit, these tiny particles can be absorbed through the skin, or through the nose via inhalation. Since it uses water, it does have a slight humidifying effect, as well.
