About Mitutoyo 329-250-10 Digital LCD Depth

The Mitutoyo Series 329 Digital LCD Depth Gauges, Interchangeable Rods, Micrometer Type, Metric, depending on the model, has a range of either 0 to 150mm or 0 to 300mm and a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.001mm. (See the product catalog for information on accuracy.) Depending on the measuring range, these gauges include 6 or 12 measuring rods that can be adjusted in 25mm increments. The LCD screen display has origin-set, preset, zero, data hold, and data output functions for the users' convenience, and displays in metric measurements. The gauges have a ratchet stop and measuring rod clamp for precise measurements. They have a satin chrome finish for readability. The bases are 101.6mm long and made of hardened steel for durability and accuracy. These gauges conform to European Conformity (CE) marking. The gauges in this series include an SR44 battery and a fitted plastic case. Depth gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. These gauges often take the form of sliders that travel on a measuring beam or rods, are moved to position by hand, and then adjusted with a calibrated screw. The base of the gauge rests at the top of the shape whose recession is to be measured, while the beam or rods extend to the bottom of the recession to determine the measurement. Gauge position is read from a graduated scale, dial, counters, or an electronic display. Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.
