With precision ground cast iron construction as the base of the unit we have created a well-balanced, very smooth running lathe with many beneficial features. From the most delicate miniature projects to the larger turnings and from the simplest beginner turning to the professional highly sophisticated works of art, the lathe will handle any smaller pen project, any mid-sized spindle or bowl and the largest high end vessel or longer spindle to a baseball bat, it can do the job. With an easy to change three pulley system and a high quality power inverter we are able to reach the RPM speed ranges of 80 to 800 RPM, 180 to 1800 RPM an finally 350 to 3700 RPM. The first range features lots of torque for spinning larger, out of balance pieces. The mid range should be used on symmetrical turnings for the majority of the turning and sanding and the high range for sanding and finishing work or melting some waxes and finished deep in to the grain. Because of the three wide speed ranges you will find no need to change the pulley in a single project but more likely to as the project sizes change.
