High Pressure laminate resists scratch's, paint, markers, crayons, and food and stains far better than melamine. Worksurface is the same material used on kitchen counter tops. It resists wear, scratches, burns, stains and most chemicals. Strong black steel frame and T-Mold edging to protect the table and your walls. Backer sheet on under side of table to help prevent warping from moisture entering the table. Rock solid construction legs are bolted to the 3" wide steel apron with over 3000 lbs of clamping force. 2" diameter round steel legs with plastic feet to protect floors.
