About Good Foods Gluten Free: A Healthy Way To Be

Product Description You are about to start a gluten-free diet or perhaps you already are in one but need some fresh ideas, whether you are avoiding gluten for medical reasons or because you feel better without it "Good Foods Gluten Free" is a labor of love collection of my favorite recipes I cook for myself, my family and friends. A variety of easy, tasty, healthy and well balanced recipes with pictures of each one of them from the Middle East, Mexico and Brazil that will give life to your everyday gluten-free meals. Eating healthy is essential when you’re making gluten-free dishes, eat well without breaking the bank, getting rid of gluten, however, doesn’t have to mean giving up taste. About the Author I was born and raised in Brazil. I am blessed for I had the best mom in the world. I have a twin sister who I adore, a brother who is my hero and my son who is my everything, my pride and joy, and all thanks to God. First, I love cooking! As I was growing up I became very interested in nutrition and healthy food. Not like we didn’t eat any healthy food at home, but cutting off fatty, creamy, sugared foods like processed type of things. I was looking for healthier choices like substituting cream for yogurt, sugar for honey, table salt for kosher salt, margarine for butter and the list goes on and on. I surf since young age and that lead me to travel. By the late 80’s I moved to Mexico then to California. My sister and her husband built a beautiful vacation home on the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico (we are all surfers) where the food and the waves are any surfers dream come true. Also we thought it would be good for my son to attend private schools and where I spent most of my time. Today we travel back and forth to California and Mexico. Becoming Gluten Free Few years ago I was suffering from joint pain, something wasn’t right, even my digestive system was not normal. As I was searching the internet to find out what could possibly be the cause for all these symptoms, I saw a video of a marathoner who had to quit his running life style due to joint pain. Then he gave his testimony. He actually quit gluten and never had a joint pain ever again. He was feeling awesome and even his digestive system was better than before. So I gave it a try and the marathoner was right, all pain gone, digestive system better than ever, so I became gluten free. Now it was a perfect time to recreate my recipes, then I decided to select some of my favorites and bundle them into a book to share my every day gluten free with you, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Cooking gluten free is not a challenge, what challenges me is getting the right products and that includes no GMO (Genetic modified organisms). I believe that gluten free products is not enough if it contains GMO, so I try to avoid it as much as I can. Let’s try GNO (Gluten Free, No GMO, Organic). I’m not okay with eating chemicals just as much as I avoid gluten. People who eat gluten free are diligent label readers. In the process of becoming sharp label readers, we learn more and more about the food supply.
