How to put wires in from top? Wires should be pulled out from the end slots and ventilation holes of the box. Please know that it would require you to disconnect the surge protector to put cord inside box. How to close the box? Just put the lid RIGHT ON the box, and it will not fall into the box as long as it sits on the top of the box. This box does NOT fit a surge protector with 6 plugs or more, so you may want a larger one to hold more cords. Please don't put too many cables inside box, or it won't close tight. Read description & critical/negative reviews about size carefully before you buy it, please. Many have given feedback on how SMALL it is, and it only fits a FOUR-plug/SMALL power strip and a few shorter chargers.
