GERmanikures combination scissor is well suited for many jobs such as smoothly cutting rough nails and cleanly trimming excess skin and cuticle tissue from around the nail bed. The blades of this scissor are specially shaped to perform well in multiple situations. - GERmanikure blends innovative German design with modern high carbon stainless steel to make scissors that will last. Raw steel is imported in bulk rolls from Sweden specifically for use in GERmanikure's FINOX line; no other steel met GERmanikures requirements for consistency, hardness and durability. The formulation for high carbon stainless steel is precisely and carefully controlled so that it is just as strong as traditional high carbon steel but also is just as care free and rust resistant as common stainless steel. - The open type of joint allows access for easy cleaning and lubrication that is also superb for professional sterilization practices such as a high heat or steam autoclave. This special beveled area around the joint reduces the frictionable surface area of the joint, so that wear and tear is minimal and movement stays smooth over decades of use. - During assembly, the screw that holds the two halves of the scissor together is individually and precisely set by hand to exactly the right tension and locked in place on the opposite handle. Adjusting the screw will unlock it, eventually resulting in irreparable harm to the scissor. GERmanikure uses a star shaped torx screw to help ensure this lock is not accidentally broken and the scissor will retain the optimal tension throughout its life. - GERmanikure believes in long tool life, healthful living, and good environmental stewardship.
