This Dixon BS Series King Short Shank hose fitting is made of brass and connects a hose to threaded pipe conforming to the NST standard. It has a barbed end to create a tight seal on a hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule (not included), and female National Standard Thread (NST) threads on the other end connect to male NST threaded connections. This short shank hose fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability, and it has a rubber gasket for high elasticity and resistance to abrasion and impact forces.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.
