About Eye Of The Dolphin

Product Description Fourteen year old Alyssa (Schroeder) has been living with her Grandmother Lucy (Ross) since the death of her mother a year ago. It s been a tough year for both of them and Lucy decides it s time for Alyssa to go to the Bahamas to live with Hawk (Dunbar), dedicated dolphin researcher and the father she never knew she had. Alyssa s arrival on the island comes at a decisively inconvenient time for Hawk, who is busy fighting greedy politicians and experts who are determined to turn his research center into a tacky tourist attraction. It s a prickly relationship between Hawk and Alyssa, but Tamika (Adams), Hawks girlfriend, and Daniel (Harris), Tamika s father, smooth the way. Alyssa soon adjusts to island life and discovers the gift she shares with her father for communicating with dolphins, a skill which leads her into a powerful relationship with a wild dolphin which her father, for legitimate scientific reasons, cannot condone. But when the powers-that-be threaten to close down her father s research station, it is Alyssa and her wild friend who hold the key, and have the power to bring all parties together. Review Eye of the Dolphin is a beautiful film. --Home Media Magazine I give it a A for Ah-dor-a-ble. Carly is totally believable. The beautiful water, pristine beaches and amazing animals in the film are pretty powerful. --Girls Life This fantastic film is in theaters this summer. Do yourself a favor and see it. --Teen Magazine About the Actor CARLY SCHROEDER perhaps best known as Serena Baldwin, the adorable quick-witted daughter of Scotty Baldwin and Lucy Coe on two daytime dramas: General Hospital and Port Charles , gifted young actress Carly Schroeder has displayed talent and versatility across a spectrum of entertainment media. In addition to completing over 480 episodes in six years as Serena Baldwin, Schroeder guest-starred on 12 episodes of The Disney Channel's number one show Lizzie McGuire as Melina Bianco, a devilish, free-spirited, prankster and best friend to Matt McGuire, a role she reprised to the delight of film audiences everywhere in The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Other feature film portrayals include her recent star turn as the title character in Gracie, opposite Rory Culkin and Elizabeth Shue. Directed by Academy Award®-winning director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth), and produced by Elizabeth Shue and Andrew Shue, Gracie is based on Elizabeth s real-life story of overcoming the loss of her brother and her struggle as a teenager to give young women the right to play competitive soccer. In order to prepare for the role, Schroeder trained for several months with former captain of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. In 2006, she was featured in the Warner Bros. action thriller Firewall, playing the daughter of Harrison Ford and Virginia Madsen, and in 2004, starred in the Independent Spirit Award-winning film Mean Creek with Rory Culkin. Recently, the adventurous Schroeder expanded her repertoire by working with lions in the thriller Prey, about an American family that gets stranded while on a wild animal safari in the middle of South Africa. In addition to her film and daytime television roles, Schroeder co-starred as Cindy Brady in the TV movie Growing Up Brady and has guest-starred as Molly on Dawson's Creek , and most recently turned in a heart-wrenching performance in Cold Case as an abused child that has been accused of murder many years after the crime took place.
