Ghosts of Leigh and Other Plays is a collection of four short scripts for both stage and screen written as part of a practice-led research process to explore ideas relating to gender and sexuality. In this sense, the plays are both creative works and research documents. Though these works have a didactic or educational purpose, that is, they were written to share ideas and knowledge, they are also, hopefully, entertaining to see performed and pleasurable to read. Altogether these four scripts explore sexuality and gender from multiple angles, with both playfulness and scholarly rigour. The four scripts all focus on the experience of gender non-conforming individuals, an experience that is, sadly, still lacking in much contemporary scriptwriting for both stage and screen. This print edition includes full page colour photographs and design drawings from the original 2018 production of Ghosts of Leigh.
