About Iheartblob – Augmented Architectural Objects: A

Product Description iheartblob avails itself of a new visual vocabulary of architecture. Here designs are visualized not in the form of ground plans and sections. Instead, renderings, mixed-reality objects (which are depicted physically and in augmented reality) and animations are the media which reflect the legacy of the mathematician Lagrange. Visually, but also on the basis of short theoretical texts, the book facilitates new discussions about the contemporary theoretical and cultural framework – and thus also about the “crisis of philosophy” faced not only by architecture. While the theoretical framework here invokes the principles of object-oriented ontology, in a subsequent step it attempts to unravel the theoretical principles of postmodernity and poststructural formalism. Review The abstract, digital objects enter into a relationship with physical space and apply these formulations of architecture theory to everyday situations [...]. With almost 1000 objects iheartblob has built up a small universe. Many of these blobs and the texts associated with them now can be discovered in their new physical) book, published recently by Birkhäuser Verlag. And, to prevent architecture theories being trapped again between the covers of a book, with the help of a smart phone the published blobs can be released into their three-dimensional virtual world. Arian Lehner, Architekturtheorie mit Herz / Architecture theory with a heart, in architektur.aktuell, 487/ 10.2020 https: //www.iheartblob.com/a-new-visual-language/?fbclid=IwAR0pfht67MxNYQUa7vYYnVHkZtd4zhOFKntmKpRW_Y5g6uoPoC8_EOgoBo Review "The abstract, digital objects enter into a relationship with physical space and apply these formulations of architecture theory to everyday situations […].
