About the Author Jannie, (Marianne Rohrbough), completed her education in Rotterdam, Holland, after WWII. She married at age 24, came to the United States in 1958, making her home in Los Angeles, California. She and her husband currently reside outside of Tucson, Arizona. Jannie worked until finally retiring at age of 77. 'Survival of the fittest' remains her motto, as she stays active working their land. She attends the church of her choice, resting on the Sabbath. She enjoys her grown children, grand children, and great grand children as often as possible. Jannie speaks in gatherings of those years growing up in Indonesia, the hardships of WWII, and the years that followed....
