Each triple-rivet, full-exposed tang knife is crafted for ergonomic balance for easy use with all your cutting and honing tasks. Triple rivet "POM" handle. The German-made 1.4116 high-carbon, stainless steel alloy will resist stains and corrosion. This 8-piece set includes the five popular knives -- Spear Point 3.5"" Paring Knife (E/3691-3.1/2), 5"" Scalloped Utility Knife (E/3685-5), 6"" Utility Knife (E/3688-6), 8"" Stealth Chef's Knife (E/3686-8S), and 9"" Scalloped Bread Knife (E/3699-9). The paring knife is perfect for all your intricate cuts. The bread knife has a slight upward curve. This set also includes a 10"" Messermeister Fine Steel (5100-10F), a black Take-Apart 8"" Kitchen Scissors (DN-2070) and a 16-slot Rubberwood Knife Block (DKB-16/RW) to store and protect your knives. The Fine Steel realigns the knives to razor sharpness. Meridian Elité knives are handcrafted one at a time using the same techniques that have been the hallmark of fine Solingen-made cutlery for hundreds of years. These distinct techniques create a 15-degree edge, which is hand stropped on a cloth wheel, creating the sharpest possible cutting surface on an edged tool.
