As women our energies and abilities are cyclical in nature. We move through phases of heightened clarity, empathy, creativity, and intuition over the course of our monthly menstrual cycle. Month after month, we receive information from the world, manifest new creations, release accumulated energies and stories, and clear space for what's next. It is valuable to track and notice patterns in the ebb and flow of our thoughts, emotions, energies and physical changes. Seeing our changes waxing and waning with the moon's cycles - this brings us the wisdom of our embodied feminine experience, which enables us to better ground our gifts and make the most of our powers. The Moon Diary was designed for this unique purpose. It is a space to observe the internal cycle within our body as it dances with the external cycle of the moon, so that we can know ourselves deeper and thus know the world. We believe that such embodied feminine wisdom - described by Sue Monk Kidd as goddess consciousness - "teaches us to embrace the holiness of every natural, ordinary, sensual dying moment. She forces us to take our human life in our arms and clasp it for the divine life it is - the nice, sanitary, harmonious moment as well as the painful, dark, splintered ones. If such a consciousness truly is set loose in the world, it will free us to be in a sacred body, on a sacred planet, in sacred communion with all of it. We will discover the Divine deep within the Earth and the cells of our bodies.”
