Oakiwear's closed toe kids' sandals are the perfect sandals for adventurous boys and girls. The sandals have two adjustable velcro straps - one in front of the heel and one behind it. These comfortable straps hold the sandals in place around the feet, and they allow the sandals to be worn tighter or looser according to your child's preference. Since there are only two of these straps, the sandals are extremely easy to slip on. Young children will love the sense of independence they get from putting on their own sandals. Along with these velcro straps, the upper part of the sandal provides a soft and pliable upper material encasement, protecting the child's feet from abrasions during play. This upper part of the sandal also features a woven fabric loop at the heel, providing a grip aid for getting the right fit when putting on the shoes. The bottom outsole of the sandal is made from durable thermoplastic rubber. This material provides flexibility for comfortable walking, and it is resistant to weathering, abrasion, and hot and cold temperatures. The bottom of this outsole has excellent traction so that children can walk, run, and climb without slipping, even in muddy or slick areas. The front of this outsole curves upward around the toe area, meeting the upper portion of the sandal to provide a completely closed toe sandal. This prevents children from stubbing or scraping their toes while playing outdoors. The insole of the sandal is made from cushioned EVA foam. This foam insole provides comfort with every step, and it is made with a closed-cell design, making it resistant to moisture and odor. We know that kids can be rough on their shoes. That's why we made these sandals easy to clean. They can be hand washed with cold water and mild dish soap to remove dirt and debris. Rinse the sandals one to two times and use a hand towel to soak up excess water. Dry the sandals at room temperature or with a cool fan to speed up the process.
